We decided it was time for her to go back to copper and move away from permanent grey coverage.

I did a few dimensional highlights around the face and added in some lowlights to break up that demarcation from permanent color.

Instead of being in the salon every 6-8 weeks for grey coverage, she is now looking at 12 weeks in between appointments.

my name is tara. i am a texas native and have been in cypress for about 12 years.

my first introduction to doing hair was giving myself scene hair in my bathroom at 14, but i think all of us had that shared experience. i put down the hot topic bleach and started cosmetology school in 2009.

my first love was color, anything and everything bright and vivid. i realized a couple years into my career that some of these chemicals weren’t agreeing with me, so i made the switch to more gentle chemical options and shifting my focus to kick ass haircuts. since then, i’ve really embraced botanical hair care and doing what my little salon suite can to help be a more eco conscious model for the industry.

tonik is one of my most reached for products. it’s a lightweight leave in conditioner. it helps restore hair to its natural pH. it has salicylic acid to aid with exfoliating dandruff and DHT, a naturally occurring testosterone that can attribute hair thinning and hair loss. it also makes a fantastic cutting lotion for my hair pals.

cult and king is killing it in the sustainability game. i am always here for product companies that support small businesses AND the planet.
